I was really sick with both my girls when I was pregnant. With my oldest, Jamie, I started feeling sick at 6 weeks and the nausea did not end until week 13. At the time, I thought that was bad. Well, then I got pregnant 2 1/2 years later with my second daughter and was sick from week 6 until week 21!! That was so much worse b/c it never ended. With both I was sick all day long. I would get up and have to do some dry heaves first and then I could start my day. With my second child I gained almost 50 pounds! All that worked for me was to keep eating and not to let myself get hungry at all! I was always eating and I got so sick of it. I was sick of food and trying to find something to eat, but it was the only thing that made me feel better. I loathed eating! I wanted a food drip attached to me on several occasions......
I was working every day when I was pregnant both times. I hated going to work b/c no one there acted like they cared. I would come home and cry. They got "tired" of hearing about me feeling badly. WELL, did they think I LIKED feeling that way! Once I was feeling better into my 22nd week, I was much better mentally. (but then the infections set in and PUPP, which was horrible also, but that is another story) BUT, I have two wonderful daughters and love them very much. All through my pregnancies my husband did it all.....all the shopping, cooking, cleaning.......He was wonderful to me and now he is a great daddy! All I did was go to work and come home. When I was pregnant the second time I would be so tired that I would put Jamie in bed with me at 7:30pm just so I could go to bed and get to sleep so I wouldn't have to eat in 2 hours!
